I have completed my research supervision for the academic year 2025. Below is a list of the theses I supervised. I have included each student’s thesis title (in blue) and excerpts from the theses that left a strong impression on me.

People Who Get ‘ぴえん Pien’ and People Who Don’t: Individual Differences in Understanding Emotions Hidden in Youth Slang

3. 飼い主とのコミュニケーションにおける犬の言語能力ー信頼関係がコマンド反応に及ぼす影響ー
Canine Language Abilities in Communication with Owners: The Influence of Trust on Command Response

「データは、犬が単なる”コマンドの理解”ではなく、”誰がそのコマンドを発したか”という社会的要因に強く依存して行動していることを示していた。さらに、年齢および認知機能の違いが反応の差を拡大し、特に高齢犬では信頼関係の有無が行動選択に決定的な影響を与えることが明確となった。」(Student 3, 2026, p. 18)
“The findings indicated that dogs base their behavior not merely on ‘understanding the command’ but heavily on the social factor of ‘who gave the command.’ Furthermore, it became clear that differences in age and cognitive functions amplify these variations in response, and that the presence or absence of trust in a relationship has a decisive influence on behavioral choices, particularly in older dogs.” (Student 3, 2026, p. 18)

5. Overcoming Challenges: Implementing Communicative Language Teaching in Private Language School in Myanmar
