ASEAN諸国にフォーカスを当てた英語レッスンを試行しました。企画を開始したきっかけは、「クラスメートとフィールドトリップに参加したい」という受講生のコメントでした。一連のレッスンのハイライトは、国際機関スタッフ（ASEAN関連ご専門）の方々にASEAN諸国の様子や業務内容を直接伺ったことです。（英語と日本語で受講。）
The English lessons here focused on ASEAN. My students’ comments (such as “It’d be fun if we could take a field trip with our classmates“) triggered me to plan these lessons. The highlight of the lessons was to actually meet international organization staff (ASEAN specialists), attend a lecture on the member countries, and learn what projects the staff members have been working on. (The speeches were given both in English and Japanese.)

ASEAN諸国を確認 Check the member states
[国際機関訪問前] Aseanpediaという冊子を利用した（「教材」ボックス参照）。冊子の５~14ページを印刷 → 教室の壁に各ページを貼る → 教室内を歩き回りASEAN諸国を確認 → 各受講生はどれか一国を選択し、その国について更に調べ、最後にミニプレゼンを行う。
[Before the field trip] Used a booklet titled Aseanpedia. (Check Lesson materials box.) Print out pages 5 to 14 of the booklet -> Put each page on the wall -> We all walk around the room to check each member state -> Each student selects a country, searches more information about it, and gives a mini presentation on the selected nation.
国際機関訪問 Visit an international organization
教室を離れ、国際機関を訪問。ASEAN諸国の国旗や写真等が飾られた空間で、スタッフの方々の業務内容等を伺いました。これからは、ASEAN諸国のどの国の言語を学ぶと活躍できるか、といったアドバイスをいただいた。
We visited an international organization of ASEAN in Japan. The rooms were all nicely decorated with flags, books, pictures of the members states. The very nice staff members welcomed us and explained to us about their projects. We also learned which languages of these countries we should study in the future.
ベトナム料理店で昼食 Lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant
スタッフの方におすすめのベトナム料理店に連れていっていただいた。アジア圏の魅力を更にご紹介いただいた。
The staff kindly took us to a very nice Vietnamese restaurant after the lecture. We learned further about other Asian countries.
